Background:
My family has a proud history of
involvement in Stockton. My grandfather was Mayor of Stockton. My Mother
taught school here for many years. I grew up here and went to grade school at
Annunciation and graduated from Stagg High School. I have lived in District 4
for most of my life.
Professional
Education:
I graduated from U.C. Santa
Barbara with a BA degree in 1974. I received my Doctorate of Jurisprudence
from Golden Gate University, School of Law in 1979.
Family:
Wife: Tola M. Eley, RN is a nurse at Children's Health Clinic which is
operated by San Joaquin County General Hospital.
Children:
Kim and her husband, Chip, have two children Lindsey &
Chase
Holly lives and works in
New York City
Karen is a
senior at California State University at Chico.
Professional Experience:
I began practicing law in 1980 in the office of Guard Darrah. In 1983 I opened
my own law office in downtown Stockton and am still in business there. Clients
have included San Joaquin County Mosquito and Vector Control District, City of
Stockton Civil Service Commission as well as many private sector clients.
Since 1981, I have served as Adjunct Professor of Law at Humphrey's College
School of Law.
